My Chosen Beat

My chosen beat is going to focus on current digital marketing trends and how businesses are utilizing these trends to achieve their overall business initiatives. As a digital strategist, I help clients identify digital marketing opportunities, and then my team and I implement a robust, integrated marketing strategy that will help them attain their goals. To measure a campaign’s success, we first need to identify key performance indicators (commonly known as KPIs). Due to the plethora of data to analyze, one of the most important jobs for any digital marketer is to figure out which metrics matter the most when it comes to determining a campaign’s success.   


I’ve been working in the digital marketing field for the past five years. This beat is extremely applicable to my career, and will hopefully allow me to further advance my knowledge on the digital marketing trends topic. My newfound intel could also influence future digital strategies. Furthermore, my capstone is a white paper focusing on digital marketing trends, so any information I find will surely help me with writing my white paper.

It's an extremely interesting topic not just because it's my current career path outside the secret persona, but because digital marketing trends influence everything in this world.     Your beat is useful to many demographics and it sounds like you will have a handle on it because it also involves your present career track. Digital marketing trends are highly fluid, which should provide you oceans of material. Are there any particular business types you might regularly highlight? It seems that this could provide your blog a level of specialty.
